Monitoring and forecasting of strong earthquakes both on land and on the seabed allows to predict tsunamis. If a strong tsunamigenic earthquake is forecast, we will inform you about this, indicating dangerous coastal zones.

We monitor the preparation process of strong earthquakes and, in specific cases, give a forecast. You can find the results of our calculations in Monitoring. You set up notifications by yourself in Settings.

The app provides three types of notifications, which are set up by the user.
1. Notification about earthquakes that occurred in your region. We can promptly notify you about earthquakes that have occurred in your region with the magnitude you specify.
2. Notifications about monitoring results updates. There are two configurable settings: earthquake magnitude and percentage change of expected earthquake risk.
3. Notification about increased user activity in your region. Users have the option to report anomalies they observe, which may precede strong earthquakes. You can choose to receive this data via email or as push notifications.

Yes, because forecast results can change and be refined depending on the seismic situation. Also, for the convenience, we have developed a notification settings service. You can choose in which cases to receive notifications. The app uses both push notifications and email notifications.

The accuracy of earthquake forecasts ranges in time from 6 months to 1 week, in magnitude ±0.1, in location and depth is limited by the preparation area and may reach the size of the predicted earthquake's epicenter.

No, because we do not warn - we inform about the upcoming strong earthquake and tsunami, and the app user decides which measures to take.

Education helps the app users gain knowledge in seismology and geophysics. By taking quizzes and tests, they can earn points and trophies, thereby improving their position in the annual user rankings. In future versions we will provide the ability to use these points for partial subscription payments.

Subscribing to the selected region will allow you to monitor the development of the seismic situation and be informed in advance about the expected strong earthquakes. For each region selected by the user, a forecast of expected strong earthquakes is given at the current time, starting from a certain threshold magnitude, or the absence of danger is indicated. Our forecasts are dynamic and depending on the relatively weak earthquake indicators, they may be updated or changed in the current mode. This version of the app has the following subscriptions:
1. 80 countries (3 month, 6 month, 1 year)
2. Europe (3 month, 6 month, 1 year)
3. North America + Caribbean countries (3 month, 6 month, 1 year)
4. South America (3 month, 6 month, 1 year)
5. Asia (3 month, 6 month, 1 year)
6. Africa (3 month, 6 month, 1 year)
In order to check which subscription includes the country you are interested in, go to the Monitoring section and find the lock on the territory of this country, when you click you will get information about which regions of this country and from which threshold magnitude are controlled by the Geoquake application (If the threshold magnitude is specified as greater or equal to 6.6, this means that in the current version of the application and for this specified region an earthquake below the specified magnitude is not controlled) and which subscription includes this country. If you have not found a lock on the territory of the country you are interested in, then in the current version of the application the territory of this country is not controlled, stay tuned for updates and announcements on our website.

The app relies on data from existing seismological networks. The first forecasts about an upcoming earthquake can be obtained several months in advance, but the system automatically adjusts them as the event approaches.
